Tentang Dr. Liew
Dr. Liew Hui Min lulus dengan pujian dari University of Dundee Medical School di Inggris. Dia melakukan pelatihan medis di Inggris dan memperoleh keanggotaannya di Royal College of Physicians (MRCP(Inggris)). Selama pelatihan spesialis di bidang dermatologi, ia terikat dengan berbagai rumah sakit bergengsi di Inggris, seperti Rumah Sakit Universitas Leeds, Rumah Sakit Glasgow Royal, Chelsea dan Rumah Sakit Westminster.
Dia menyelesaikan pelatihan dermatologi di Rumah Sakit King’s College di London, setelah memenuhi syarat sebagai dokter kulit di bawah Dewan Pelatihan Dokter Kolese dan Royal Deanery, Inggris. Dia memiliki lebih dari 19 tahun pengalaman dalam dermatologi.
Dia mendapatkan keanggotaan dari Academy of Medicine, Singapura dan juga anggota organisasi terkenal lainnya di bidang ini. Termasuk Dermatological Society of Singapore, Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society (Singapura), Paediatric Dermatology Focus Group of Dermatological Society of Singapore, anggota internasional dari American Academy of Dermatology, anggota internasional dari Perhimpunan Dermatologi Wanita, dan Anggota Collegiate dari Royal College of Physicians (Inggris).
Sekembalinya ke Singapura pada tahun 2014, Dr. Liew menjabat sebagai Konsultan Spesialis di KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (“KKH”), di mana ia menjadi sub-spesialisasi dalam bidang kesehatan anak, wanita, dokter kandungan, dan vulva. Dia membantu mengembangkan layanan baru dalam dermatologi pediatrik dan wanita (khususnya dermatologi obstetri dan vulva) di KKH. Dia juga membantu mendirikan klinik multidisiplin seperti eksim kronis dan klinik psikodermatologi untuk anak-anak. Selama di KKH, ia memegang beberapa peran kepemimpinan seperti Keselamatan Pasien dan Pimpinan Pendidikan dalam layanan dermatologi. Dia juga seorang Konsultan Tamu di Singapore General Hospital, menjalankan klinik dermatologi. Hingga saat ini, Dr. Liew terus memberikan kontribusi kepada masyarakat dengan melayani sebagai Konsultan Tamu di KKH.
Dia juga aktif terlibat dalam memajukan pendidikan kedokteran dengan memberikan ceramah kepada rekan-rekan sejawat, mahasiswa kedokteran dan masyarakat di forum-forum publik. Dia telah mendapatkan gelar Asisten Tambahan Profesor di Sekolah Kedokteran Duke-NUS untuk kontribusinya dalam pendidikan kedokteran Singapura. Selain itu, ia juga seorang dosen klinis untuk Sekolah Kedokteran Lee Kong Chian dan Sekolah Kedokteran Yong Loo Lin, dan seorang dosen kehormatan di Universitas Leeds.
Sebagai seorang peneliti yang rajin, Dr. Liew terus berkontribusi untuk penelitian medis di bidang dermatologi. Dia telah menerbitkan karyanya di beberapa jurnal ilmiah yang telah ditinjau rekan sejawatnya. Dia telah diundang sebagai pembicara di berbagai konferensi dermatologi lokal dan regional, khususnya yang berfokus pada pediatri. Dia adalah bagian dari panitia penyelenggara Pertemuan Ilmiah Regional Dermatologi Anak 2018 di Singapura.
Komitmennya terhadap perawatan pasiennya membuatnya memenangkan Layanan KKH dari Heart Award pada tahun 2014.
Dia juga dapat berkomunikasi dengan lancar dalam Bahasa Inggris, Bahasa Indonesia, dan Bahasa Cina (dialek Mandarin, Hokkien, dan Kanton).
