Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) is common and can remain asymptomatic for many years. Hence, regular screening for STIs is recommended for both male and female.

Treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infections

STIs are easily treatable. Early treatment is crucial in preventing complications, e.g. infertility, and pelvic inflammatory diseases. Please consult our dermatologist if you have any concern.

We can also provide HPV vaccination for women. HPV vaccine has been proven to be effective in preventing HPV related warts, pre-cancerous and cervical cancer, especially in those who have yet engage in any sexual activities. Please inform us in advance if you need the vaccine.

Female Genital Skin Conditions

Diagnosis of genital skin conditions is quite often delayed due to social embarrassment and misdiagnosis.

Dr Liew’s experience and training at the world renowned centre for genital skin diseases at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London, as well as her experience running the vulva clinic at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, will be able to help you in managing your troublesome symptoms.

Genital skin in young children is delicate and therefore they may experience some itching and discomfort. Common genital skin condition in young children is irritant contact dermatitis.

About Dr. Liew Hui Min

Dr. Liew Hui Min is an accredited consultant dermatologist from the Ministry of Health and the General Medical Council UK. Her clinical interest includes paediatric dermatology, women’s dermatology and general adult dermatology. Having trained in major London Hospitals, Dr Liew returned to Singapore in 2014 as a Consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) where she specialised in paediatric, women, obstetric and vulva dermatology. Currently, Dr Liew practices at SOG – HM Liew Skin & Laser Clinic located at Gleneagles Hospital and Parkway East Medical Centre.
